We've received reports that scammers are targeting people advertising classi25c cars (and indeed ANY
commodity) and have approached advertisers on this site (and many others).Whilst we would urge
everyone not to panic,we ask you to be vigilante and apply common sense when dealing with
potential buyers.
The scammers usually approach advertisers by offering to buy their car (or whatever the item is)
at the full asking price and ask to pay by "cashier check"(!).The "buyer" is usually based
overseas and will offer to arrange shipping.
We would urge advertisers to be wary of any buyer who agrees to buy their car at the full asking
price without even viewing it.Because of the abuse of our service, from now on we will no longer print email addresses on adverts.
Advertisers should include a telephone number only.
